F1 Food Challenge

Most of my friends, along with my boyfriend, are huge fans of Formula 1. As a result, I have also been watching the races, choosing my favourite drivers or teams (Daniel Ricciardo is my fave, in case you were wondering), and more recently I have begun watching Drive to Survive.

I’m finding it harder and harder to pretend to simply be ‘putting up with’ the races, and near constant talk of cars, tracks, crashes etc., and so when I saw one of my friends talk about an F1 food challenge she was doing, I thought it was an excellent idea to not only build my interest in F1, but also learn more about different cuisines.

For the entirety of the 2022 Formula 1 season, I will be cooking a dish from each country the Grand Prix has been in that week. Last week was Bahrain, and I made some delicious Chicken Machboos for dinner (post to follow shortly), next week will be a Saudi dish, and so on. If you want to follow or participate in this challenge yourself, we’ve been using the hashtag #F1FoodChallenge on Twitter and Instagram. If you’re from a country which will be featured in this challenge, please feel free to recommend dishes to me (or alternatively tell me how I was cooking them wrong, I would genuinely love to hear feedback on my creations!).

I hope you all enjoy my posts about this challenge, and that it might inspire you to do something similar yourself!
